Then you can plug in 120VAC small wattage things like the HDTV, DVD, small fans, cell phone charger, computer charger etc for use when you are camping off the power grid. No cables will be seen by anyone just the multiple 120VAC ports on a table top will be visible. One to the bedroom night stand area and the other one to the home entertainment area. Then you would want to run two 120VAC drop cords with multiple 120VAC ports on them from the two 120VAC receptacles on the INVERTER. These can be mounted on the wall and have the proper fuse installed etc. Alot of folks will mount one in the pass thru storage area which is usually right behind the front wall where the batteries is installed. You always find something to use on 120VAC it seems. I started out with a 300WATT unit then went to a 400Watt and finally ended up with a 600WATT unit. The best place is to mount one is as close as you can get to the battery connection. If you really want to add a small 300WATT PURE SINE WAVE INVERTER it is doable as well. These are great to have around for anytime you might to move some air.Īlso my trailer has the large fanstatic fan mounted in the ceiling that runs from 12VDC. You will get a lot of air moving from these fans. These are available from WALMART-LOWES and are 10-inch fans I think and will work from both 120VAC using a transformer or from internal D-CELLS batteries, or from a 12VDC cigarette light plug The cigarette 12VDC connector here is low DC amps and should be ok to run a small 12VDC fan.

This same panel should also be located in the living room as well close to where the TV is located. Some have this TV panel located here as well Look around the bedroom where the bedroom TV connects to a F-connector. Thanks all for your opinions and suggestions. Will running a fan all night drain the entire house battery overnight (does anyone know what kind of draw a medium size fan would pull on the battery?) Has anybody done this before and were you happy with the results?ģ. Is there an easier way that I'm not thinking of (besides using a battery powered fan which will not be strong enough and will require constant supply of batteries).Ģ. I do have some concerns as I've never done this before.ġ. Thus I'm thinking of drilling or running a wire through the wall or floor of the coach up into the bedroom and hooking up an inverter.

I'm thinking for this that I need to connect directly to the house battery which is right under the passenger bedroom side.

It just seems unneccessary and wasteful to have a generator all night so that I can run a fan when I'm out in the boonies. What I would like to do is wire a fan in the bedroom underneath the corner cabinet with a fan that can operate all night while I'm sleeping without running the generator or being hooked up to shore power. I am one of those people who cannot sleep without a fan running. Imagine my dismay when I found out the rear of my coach has no power unless the generator is running or hooked up to shore power.
